Driftin' - Porcaro Club Springtime Mix 2012

Many thanks to Helmut aka Mr Mellow from Légère Recordings / Lounge Records and the Porcaro Club (named after the legendary drummer of Toto) at the open air Parkcafe venue in Hamburg. Helmut's Porcaro Club DJ sets are "a  trip into the night-joys of L.A. / California circa. 1976-1978" and feature "soft rock disco, funky yacht rock and even more blue-eyed sunshine soul. Think Starsky & Hutch taking Brooke Shields on a ride through Laurel Canyon before getting into the groove of a Saturday Night Fever at Marina Del Ray."

AOR DISCO PARTY FEATURING ANDY PYE AND MARK LIMB

On Saturday, May 26th AOR Disco hosts the second in a series of  parties at The London Fields with special guests Andy Pye of the Balearic Social radio show and Mark Limb of  Electric Disco. Andy has contributed various mixes to the site, including the recent and highly recommended  Sampedro mix and we're really pleased that Mark will be doing his first ever set for us (and this radio mix "sums up the kind of style I'll be playing at the party i.e. a bit of everything!"). Further details are available on the Facebook event page

Thanks again to Andrew Clarke, who was our special guest at the first party back in March. We've posted Part One of his excellent set that night and here at last is Part Two

Tomorrow Never Knows (Leftside Wobble's Remastered WAV Edit) - The Beatles

"A couple of things this week made me revisit this edit," says Leftside Wobble. "Firstly Greg Wilson featured it in a Festival Anthems selection he recently uploaded to Mixcloud and secondly it was featured in the closing scene and credits to this weeks episode of Mad Men. The combined effect meant that a fair few people have been downloading the version I uploaded three years ago (which was also only available as a low quality MP3), so I thought it apt to give it a 'spit and polish' and make a remastered WAV version available for download. And even if you downloaded my original version you should grab this too as the remaster kicks like the proverbial mule!"

Just What I Needed (Mojo Filter Overdrive Re-Edit) - The Cars

Apologies to our older balearic and yacht rock brothers if this electro remix is a bit too  uptempo but as Ben Zaven-Crane of Mojo Filter says, "it's always good to keep up with 'the kids'".
